Hi, I'm Thistle. My foster mom named me that cause it's a flower than can survive in rough conditions, and I sure had a rough start in life. I don't know what happened to my mom and siblings but a police officer found me by a sidewalk very early one October morning and took me to animal control. A few hours later my foster mom showed up there to help some dogs but I needed help more! I was only two weeks old and needed help doing everything. So she fed me and did the things my cat mom would have done until I was big enough to eat on my own. She said I'm really smart cause I figured out the litterbox right away! Now I'm a big kid and ready to find my forever family. I like playing with my toys, and being cuddled. I'm eating Purina kitten chow and kitten fancy feast, and my foster mom lets me have a Churu treat every day too. I've never been around dogs except that first day but I think I would be okay with one. And I like other cats, but the ones here in my foster home are older and don't really like to play very much. ***side note*** Single orphan bottle babies can be a little needy, and possibly play a little rough because they didn't have their mother or siblings to teach them manners and boundaries. In Thistles case she has had playtime with the adult cats in her foster home and had behaved quite well with them. It's just something to be aware of. Bottle babies also sometimes continue to suckle on blankets or their beds or a particular soft toy into adulthood, and this is normal. Instead of a gradual weaning from their mother, and being able to comfort suckle as needed, they get bottles then go to actual food and drinking from a bowl pretty quickly. If you see her kneading and suckling on a blanket it's normal and nothing to worry about.
