He had been a happy, playful dog, but after losing his family’s beloved mom, he seemed to lose a piece of himself, too. Now, as his family faces another transition, Koda is looking for a home where he can find his spark again.Koda is an independent, intelligent dog who enjoys toys, exploring, and spending time with the people he loves. He’s done well in doggy daycare and group play, and he prefers slow introductions to new dogs. He’s fully house-trained, not destructive, and prefers a quiet, predictable home where he can simply relax. He’s still grieving, but with the right person, we know he’ll find happiness again.Koda is a deeply loyal dog, and because of that, he’s cautious with new people. He just needs a little time and some gentle encouragement. His family has described him as a dog who loves in his own way - he’ll happily keep himself entertained but will also check in for playtime or affection, just to remind you he’s there.Koda lost someone he loved, but he still has so much love left to give.
