My story

ABOUT MILO! Meet Milo, our handsome six-year-old tabby man! This sweet boy came to HAP after his owner was unable to care for him. Of course, this was a big, scary change for him, and it's taken him a bit of time to adjust to shelter life. He's starting to show off his loving personality, bit by bit! Milo is a super affectionate boy, once he warms up to people. He loves to rub up against their legs and flop down next to them! He enjoys taking his naps in a cozy sunspot, just as much as he loves to roll around in catnip! Milo can be a little confused sometimes, grumbling when he's trying to ask for attention, but these are confusing times so we give him a pass! *Milo is on a special urinary diet, as he has had crystals in his urine. The diet helps him keep from forming blockages, which can be fatal. Urinary cats can live long healthy lives with regular vet visits and the special diet. **Milo gets along okay with other cats, but we recommend he go to a home with calm cats. He did enjoy a dog in his previous home, so we think he'd do okay with a calm one. We don't recommend he go to a home with children. ***If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
