My story

Maktub is a calm, beautiful, and curious boy who loves giving kisses! This 1.5–year-old boy enjoys going on walks, playing with other dogs, and tons of cozy cuddles. He is a big snuggle bear who wants to be right next to you. His skills walking on leash need some improvement, but the shelter is understaffed, so he goes on walks when volunteers come in once a day. He responds well to commands and listens to volunteers. This sweet boy is also well-behaved when meeting new people, but he is shy at first and needs some encouragement with treats and time to feel comfortable. Once a human has passed his “inspection” and gets “approved” Maktub will provide them with gentle kisses. Overall, Maktub would do best in a home with a fenced backyard, as he is unsure about noise and traffic. He is a smart boy who learns fast! If you enjoy going for long walks and want a companion by your side—this is the dog for you! Once adopted we require all adopters to sign up for a group training puppy class so he can learn the rules of life. This allows for continued socialization and learning and helps to create a well-mannered and well-balanced dog. Maktub is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. Interested in this sweet love bug? Please email us for an adoption application at sosanimalwelfare@gmail.com and we will happily get back to you. Maktub is ready and waiting for some belly rubs!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maktub, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
