My story

Are you looking for a senior cat to have in your life? Ollie is a handsome grey male cat with the most striking cheek bones and is just under 14 years old. Ollie came to our rescue by a Good Samaritan who found him (along with another senior cat) abandoned in the woods half submerged in water! Thankfully, both cats were okay. We don't know why someone would just discard these two amazing cats, but we will find both of them the forever home that deserves them. Ollie doesnot have fur around his neck - it appears that whoever abandoned him had a collar on him that was left on way to tight and for far too long :( Another reason why we are so thankful he got to us! Ollie does have diabetes and will have to receive insulin injections twice a day.  He is a really good boy with taking his meds and he never says no to a treat afterward. He also had dental surgery in August 2024. Ollie has had bloodwork done and other than his diagnosis of being diabetic, his bloodwork is within normal limits for his age.  All he needs now is to find his forever home. While Ollie came into our rescue with Sophie, they do not appear bonded (although we would love for someone to adopt them together). Ollie is sharing space with other laid back cats and does well. Ollie would also do well around older children. Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption). All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion. Location: Bolton, CTAdoption Fee: fee waived to approved adopter ##2062800##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ollie (SPECIAL NEEDS - DIABETIC), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
