Meet Ruby and Webster, the ultimate dynamic duo! Ruby is less than two years old and small (less than 40 lbs). They're looking for a forever home, together, through GRRAND. We tried to split them up, but let's just say they're like two peas in a pod as they love eachother and find comfort in eachother. They're recovering from a rough past, but they're not letting that get them down. Both Ruby and Webster are spayed, neutered, housebroken, crate-trained, and up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you're looking for a pair to keep each other and you entertained, look no further. They both love car rides, playing with toys, and they are fine with cats, other dogs, and kids. I would recommend children six and up, as they are young and energetic. Webster has more experience with leash walking and going to stores. Ruby is still a bit unsure outside on a leash, but she has come a long way, and with Webster having her back and being an example, she will be a rock star in no time. If you feel these two would be a perfect match for your home's lifestyle, please don't wait any longer, because you won't regret it, and they would be forever grateful!!" They will need a home with a secure fenced yard as she is still considered a flight risk. Early on, Ruby went to a wonderful trainer who worked miracles with her and she now loves being in a home and is very trusting of her family. She's less than two years old, small (less than 40 lbs), spayed, housebroken, and as mentioned, loves other dogs When Ruby was in a short term foster home and they told us: "Ruby is learning she can trust me and that a collar and leash is not the end of the world. I have been taking things a bit slow - baby steps with her due to her fear but she is coming along nicely. She is now crate trained, house broke, (we already know she is good with other dogs), learned how to go up and down stairs, she has been meeting many new people as that was her biggest thing to overcome. She is walking on a leash, starting to play with toys, learning “leave it” which is a big one for her as she tends to try and back out of collar/harness and bite the leash so I am really focusing on that and switching directions often so she is not trying to lead me. She will do best with another stable/confident dog in the home to help show her the ropes and to also help build her own confidence and shed her fears. Ruby will need a home with an above ground securely fenced yard as she remains very fearful of people and is considered a flight risk at this time. I am sooo very proud of her progress!" Check back for more updates! Please consider taking Ruby and Webster into your home, making them a part of your family, and helping to show them what a great life with a loving family is all about! Advocates eagerly await justice for the abused animals and the swift rescue of those still suffering in inhumane conditions. Ruby and Webster were 2 of those dogs. It's awful to think of the terrible lives and abuse they have been subjected to. A litter of 4 week old puppies were found on the property and all had to be treated at the Emergency Vet for Parvo to save their lives and sadly, one did not make it. We have extremely high vet expenses for these dogs and really need ongoing donations to pay for all their care and we are also in desperate need of foster homes for these dogs.
