Barkley

My story

Barkley is a 7 year old, 70ish lb male Golden Retriever who is being called "Mr Perfect" by is foster family! This is what they say: "Barkley wants to be known as 'Mr. Perfect'... so please comply with his wishes. This is what we have learned so far about Mr Perfect: He is Perfectly housebroken He gets along Perfectly with other dogs, cats and people He walks Perfectly on a leash. Walking 2 miles the last two mornings to build muscle mass He treats people’s property with Perfect respect. Doesn’t chew on anything he is not suppose to When he is done outside he goes to the door and waits in a Perfectly calm manner to be let back inside.   And because he is so Perfect, he believes that all food should be Perfectly his! He barks a couple of perfectly polite times when coming back inside to remind a person to give him a treat. He does a Perfect little dance when he sees his food bowl coming and he comes to perfect attention when he sees, smells or hears food being prepared.  This boy is a chow hound. You can even put his meds in a bowl of dry kibble and he will eat them, no problem. I would advise feeding all animals separately from him (like I do with my dogs) because I am not sure he will be Perfectly respectful of other animals food or any human food unattended in his reach." We are also told Barkley thinks he is a lap dog but understands the rules, stays off furniture, is super friendly and wanting to be in the midst of all that goes on. He will make a great dog for anyone!! we are trying to get to the bottom of his skin issues with working with GRRAND vets, and he is on meds to help his hair grow back.
