My story

*** In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. ***Are you looking for your soul dog? I’ve got him! Aslan didn`t know he was homeless and living on borrowed time under a bridge with winter fast approaching. He is just a baby and had a tough start in life that in no way dampened his infectious grin, his calm demeanor, or enthusiastic pursuit of snuggles. I’ve made sure he is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He will need quarterly Cytopoint allergy shots and I strongly recommend pet insurance as he sees life as an audition for Cirque du Soleil. Aslan is a boxer-Dog de Bordeaux mix full of athleticism and acrobatics, with the iconic cheek furls and the steady presence of a loyal guardian breed. He stopped growing at 60 lbs and Aslan`s big head is full of smarts. He is eager to please and would be an ideal candidate for advanced obedience training. He is well-socialized with other dogs and people, but does not like to share toys or food and must be fed separately. He enjoys warm baths but is made of sugar and fears melting when it rains/snows. Aslan prefers to be with his people and needs a very sturdy crate when left alone. He is working on crate training and has been quick to pick up the basics of house training. He has outstanding recall and obedience skills. He is also a lap dog who loves to cuddle; you will never have a lonely night with this snuggle lover. Aslan is adoptable for a fee that will be donated to a dog rescue. Located in Chicago, but am willing to drive him to the right adopter! Please reach out to meghan.a.iverson@gmail.com for more information.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Aslan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
