My story

*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** Beau does not do well around other animals. He is reactive when he sees other dogs and cats. He is good around children but feels they are more playmates rather than authority figures. No past health issues that I am aware of. The medication he is taking is preventative (Simparica). No dietary restrictions. He knows `sit, come, off`, he is house broken, crate trained and neutered. He has been in a `reactive` course for five weeks to combat the excitement around other animals. He loves to be outside and play with his Kong toys. Since he is two, he does have a tendency to find the kids hard plastic toys and chew them. Since he is a big guy, he does know how to open the garbage can so placing a heavy object on the lid works best at keeping him out. He is drooly so after he drinks his ears are soaked and you have to change his water so it`s not all saliva. For adoption information, please email stephanie_caruso@yahoo.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Beau, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
