Meet Caramel! Caramel is a striking hound mix with a heart as sweet as her name. True to her roots, she’s a scent-driven explorer who’s happiest when she’s on the move. Caramel is a solo gal through and through—she prefers to be the only pet in the home, where she can shine as the center of attention.This high-energy girl is looking for an active, outdoorsy home that can keep up with her adventurous spirit. Whether it’s hiking the trails, practicing scent work, or just roaming the woods with her favorite humans, Caramel thrives when she’s got room to move and a job to do. She’ll need plenty of daily physical and mental stimulation to be her best self. With the right support and positive reinforcement training, she has so much potential to keep growing and thriving. We’re here to help set her (and you!) up for success—offering guidance and referrals to certified, force-free trainers who understand her needs. Caramel has a heart of gold and is ready to share it with someone who will give her the calm, loving environment she deserves. With the right family who understands her drive and gives her the space to safely explore, Caramel will be an incredible partner for all your Maine wilderness adventures.
