My story

Meet Ruffus – A Busy Boy with a Big Personality! Ruffus is a 2-year-old pointer mix who has been with us since April of last year, and as he approaches his one-year anniversary at the shelter, he’s hoping to find his forever home. Originally found as a stray, not much is known about Ruffus’s past, but we do know that he’s a little guy with a huge personality. He’s got a lot of energy and a curiosity that’s boundless. There’s always something for Ruffus to do—whether it’s investigating new smells, checking out every corner of the shelter, or meeting new people. He’s constantly on the move and always up for an adventure! Though Ruffus can be selective about his dog friends, he has been with other dogs in the past and with the right introduction and a dog that respects his space, we believe he could do just fine in a home with other dogs. He may need time to adjust, but with a little patience and understanding, he’ll be a loyal companion to his doggie friends as well as his human ones. Ruffus thrives in an environment where he has lots to explore, so an active household that can keep up with his curiosity and energy would be ideal. He’s always looking for new things to see and experience, and he’ll bring that same excitement to your life. After nearly a year of waiting, Ruffus is ready to find a family that will give him the love and attention he deserves.
