My story

Hi friends, I`m Godiva, like the chocolate! As you can see, the folks here named me for the color of my coat. I was found as a friendly stray in Tompkins County, and adopted by some nice folks who unfortunately had some recent life changes that meant they couldn`t have a dog anymore. I enjoy all the regular stuff; treats, toys (balls in particular), walks, and scratches! My friends describe me as `very affectionate.` In my home, I`m used to being home alone for the workday and I lived with some cats. I`ve been friendly with the other dogs and people I`ve met, although young kids make me a bit nervous. Once I`ve had my fill of playing and running for the day, I`ll probably see if you`ll let me flop into your lap.
