My story

Meet Max — a big-hearted, big-personality brindle Pit Bull mix ready to settle into a calm, understanding home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. This gentleman is a sweet mix of laid-back and playful. He’s happy with a short daily walk (a mile is plenty!) and then it's time to relax and lounge on the couch with his favorite people. Don’t be surprised if he breaks into a spontaneous zoomie now and then—Max still knows how to keep things fun! Max does well with other dogs, though he prefers to be the one calling the shots. His intro style can be a bit enthusiastic, so any canine companions should be friendly, patient, and comfortable with his confident energy. He’s cat-selective and would need slow introductions in a home with feline friends. While Max is affectionate with his people, he’s still brushing up on his manners around things like food and favorite resting spots. He does best eating separately from other pets and would thrive in a home that understands dog body language and can help him set clear, loving boundaries. New people? Sometimes he’s eager to make friends—other times he needs a little space and time to warm up. That’s why Max is looking for an adult-only home that’s calm and consistent, where he can feel safe and understood.
