My story

Sometimes life is over-whale-ming but you know what makes it better? Cats! Meet one of our awesome cats, ready for adoption: WHALLEY! This very handsome man was brought to our shelter by a rescue partner of ours, after being found outside in a cat colony. Whalley was either a friendly stray or a dumped cat. Whalley can be a bit shy at first in new situations but warms up when he learns you mean him no harm. Whalley seems to get along fine with other cats! This sweet boy will need a patient owner, willing to continue showing him that he's safe! One look at this big boy cheek's and you'll be in love! Due to life on the streets, Whalley tests positive for FIV, which does NOT require daily medications nor impact his quality of life. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is ONLY passed through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be passed to other animal species or humans. FIV kitties can live with, share food bowls, litter boxes, groom and wrestle with non FIV housemates with no risk of transmission. Whale, whale, whale... whatcha think? Want to adopt our boy Whalley? Apply to adopt today! Whalley is an adult, who is FIV POSITIVE AND FELV NEGATIVE, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If yours is the right home for this big boy, apply via our website,https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=28

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Whalley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
