MJ! Goofy Gal!

My story

Meet our bouncy and goofy girl named MJ! MJ came to our shelter after she was found abandoned, tied to a pole outside of a building in town. MJ is about 2 years old, and she is a really fun dog! She is very outgoing and friendly with women right away. She has shown to be scared of men, but once she realizes they aren't going to hurt her, she is okay with them. MJ is very outgoing and playful! She gets right in to our kiddie pool to cool down on these very hot days. She is still a bit jumpy, but she listens to correction well. MJ seems fine with other dogs, but she is too interested in cats to live with them. She can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
