My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Jjangga Age: About 6 Months Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Mini Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 7kg / 15.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance and the opportunity to experience kindness and care. Now, I’m leaving that uncertain chapter behind and looking forward to a brighter future filled with love, companionship, and a forever family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Jjangga! I’m a handsome little boy with a beautiful, soft beige coat, a slim figure, and a delicate, slender tail. My rescuers find my little black nose especially adorable—it almost looks like I was going to develop a dark muzzle but changed my mind halfway through! When meeting someone new, I might seem a little shy for the first few minutes, but that hesitation disappears surprisingly quickly. Once I’ve had a moment to figure things out, I’ll happily approach you, let you pet me, and even settle into your arms. I’m genuinely fond of people, and it doesn’t take much to bring out my friendly personality! If you want to make the introduction even easier, I have a very simple suggestion: bring treats! I absolutely love tasty snacks, and the promise of something delicious is usually enough to convince me to approach just about anyone. My food motivation could also be a wonderful advantage when it comes to learning new skills and building positive experiences in my future home. I’m also going through that slightly awkward puppy stage when my adult coat is starting to come in, leaving the fur around my face looking a little patchy. It’s a temporary part of growing up, and somehow, it makes my sweet little face even more charming! I’d love to find a family who will enjoy watching me grow from this sweet, slightly awkward puppy into the handsome dog I’m becoming. I already have a gentle temperament, good social skills, and a wonderful willingness to connect with people. What I haven’t had yet is the chance to experience the little things that make a home special. After spending my puppyhood in a shelter, I’m ready to trade that familiar environment for new adventures, everyday companionship, and a family to grow up with.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but tasty treats are a great way to win me over! I’m happy to accept treats, and it usually doesn’t take long before I warm up and feel comfortable being petted. Once I get to know and trust you, my affectionate side comes out—I may even roll over and show you my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally get along well with dogs around my own size. However, if another dog challenges or provokes me, I may respond rather than back away, so calm, careful introductions and close supervision are important when I’m meeting new friends. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m still practicing my walking skills, and with continued training and consistent guidance, I can keep building on my good leash manners.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES    JJANGGA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2866354##
