QUICK FACTS Name: Sakong Age: About 7 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Beagle – Jindo Mix Color: Beige and White Weight: 8.25kg / 18.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was found neglected at an abandoned factory, where I had been living without the care and security I needed. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought me to safety, giving me a second chance to experience kindness, comfort, and a fresh start. Now, I’m leaving that lonely chapter behind and looking forward to a brighter future with a loving forever family to call my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Sakong! I’m a sweet little dog with a beautiful smile and an affectionate personality that doesn’t take very long to discover. I might be a little reserved when we first meet, but don’t let my initial shyness fool you. Give me a bit of time, and you’ll soon see a completely different side of me! I may need a little bit of time to feel comfortable around someone new. During that time, I prefer to observe and get a sense of who you are rather than rushing straight into an introduction. But once I realize everything is okay, my hesitation quickly fades, and I’ll start approaching you on my own to ask for attention. There’s also a very easy way to speed up our friendship: treats! I absolutely love something tasty, and offering me a few snacks is a wonderful way to break the ice. Once we’re friends, I become incredibly affectionate. I’ll actively seek you out for pets and enjoy the attention I was a little too shy to ask for earlier. My rescuers say the difference between my first few minutes and my personality once I’m comfortable is especially endearing. And then there’s my smile! I have one of those beautiful, happy expressions that can instantly brighten someone’s day. Seeing that smile appear as I begin to relax makes getting to know me even more rewarding. I’d love a family who understands that a little initial shyness doesn’t mean I’m not interested in making friends. I simply appreciate being given a moment to settle in before showing my affectionate side. With a gentle introduction, a few tasty treats, and a little patience, you’ll soon discover a sweet, smiling companion who has plenty of love to share.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats are a great way to win me over! I’m happy to accept a tasty snack, and it usually doesn’t take long before I warm up and feel comfortable being petted. I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m comfortable approaching unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I generally prefer a friendly greeting rather than engaging in play. I tend to get along well with dogs around my own size as well as smaller dogs. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I’m especially interested in all the interesting smells around me, so I love taking my time to sniff and explore, often stopping along the way to investigate something new. I may pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and respond to their guidance on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. I may use a little barking to let you know I’m wanting something. With consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to express my needs. I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel I’m accustomed to doing my business outdoors, so I generally prefer outdoor potty breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
