My story

Why this pet is the one for you:Say hello to Sugar! We are still learning about Sugar's unique personality, but we would be happy to introduce you to her to see if she is a good fit for your family. Sugar is a gentle senior cat who thrives with kindness, consistency and a calm environment. While she can be shy when meeting new people, she's already shown that with time and patience, she begins to relax-accepting crunchy treats from familiar people and rewarding trusted friends with soft purrs. Sugar is looking for a quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. She'll appreciate having a cozy, private space during her first few weeks to help her feel safe as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Once she builds trust, she's happy to enjoy treats and gentle companionship on her own terms. Because of her fearful nature, Sugar is looking for a home without dogs, as they would likely be too stressful for her. She previously lived with another cat but was uncomfortable sharing her space, so she may be happiest as the only pet. She has lived successfully with an older child in the past, but because she is sensitive, she'd do best in an adults-only home or one with older, respectful children who understand how to let a cat choose when she wants attention. If you're ready to meet this special beautiful kitty, speak with our team today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for adoption! Shy/Fearful Cat:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Point Weight: 11.45 Age: 11yrs 6mths 4wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sugar, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
