My story

I adopted Aspen from my local shelter when she was two years old. She is now 8 years old! Her birthday was listed as June 1st. She is so incredibly affectionate, and though she does play occasionally, her favorite thing to do is eat treats and snuggle. Four years ago Aspen and another cat in the household suddenly would get into very violent fights. I have had to keep them completely separated since. Health issues have been ruled out. She did tolerate the other cat (I had 3), but I think she would do best in a home where she is the only cat. She has never been aggressive towards me, and she loves kids. She loves anyone who will give her attention or treats, actually. I am looking to rehome her only because it is no longer safe or feasible to keep her apart from the other cat in the household. It’s not fair for her to live in fear, and the other cat is not as social and adaptable as she is.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Aspen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
