My story

Meet Angie a gentle, affectionate 3-year-old Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix with a soft heart and a deep love for her people. This pretty white-and-brown girl thrives on connection and will happily be your little shadow, following you from room to room and soaking up every moment together. Angie is friendly, loving, and enjoys meeting new people. While she bonds especially closely with her primary caregiver, she warms up nicely to others and quickly wins hearts with her cuddly nature and sweet kisses. Shes happiest curled up beside you or even tucked close at your shoulder and would love a home where she can be part of daily life. She has good basic manners and knows commands like sit, down, come, and leave it. Angie walks well on leash, rides calmly in the car, and settles nicely at home. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is beginning to explore play, though she definitely prefers human companionship above all. Angie would do best in a home that understands shes still building confidence. She can feel anxious when separated from her person and will benefit from a patient, consistent routine and gradual independence training. Shes making progress with crate time and settles best when she feels close and secure. She also likes to protect her food and favorite toys...who can blame her? This sweet girl is also working on her house training and will need continued guidance as she learns. With structure, encouragement, and love, she is sure to thrive. Angie is a tender, slightly quirky little soul who just wants to belong. If youre looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick by your side and fill your days with love, Angie is ready to meet you. Please note: due to Angie's current separation anxiety (work in progress) she is very vocal and therefore apartment living homes will not be considered at this time.   Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption. Local adopters can take advantage of 50% off a training course at RuffHaus in Barrie (www.ruffhaus.ca) and all adopters will also be signed up for Petcademy to offer 30 days of free text-based behavioural support. Please visit our website www.preciouspawsrescue.ca to submit an adoption application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Angie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
