My story

Hello there! My name is Samsung , and before you ask, yes, I probably have a better personality than your phone. I'm a medium-sized fellow with a very unique look. Some people say I have terrier features, others just scratch their heads and say, "What is he?" Honestly, your guess is as good as mine! I have a longer coat that gives me a bit of a shaggy appearance, and right now I'm not exactly looking my best. My previous home didn't take very good care of me, so I could really use a haircut and some help with my dry skin. The nice people here are already working on that, and I'm feeling better every day. What I may lack in grooming right now, I more than make up for in personality. I came to the shelter with an adult female German Shepherd, so I've spent time around dogs that are much bigger than I am. These days I share a kennel with another female dog. Now, if you ask me, playtime should be a full-time job. If you ask her, playtime is apparently an inconvenience. I try my best to convince her that running around and having fun is a great idea, but most of the time she just gives me a grumpy look. Every once in a while, if I bug her enough, she'll finally get up and chase me around. Victory! For a few glorious moments, we play before she remembers she's supposed to be grumpy again. Since my roommate isn't always interested in my brilliant entertainment ideas, I've discovered that people can be pretty fun too. I absolutely love human attention. Pets, scratches, kind words, hanging out together—I think all of those sound wonderful. If my dog friends won't play with me, maybe my future human will toss a ball, take me for walks, or just spend time being my best friend. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. As for cats and small children, I have to be honest: I don't know. We don't have any around here, so there is no way to know how I would feel about them. Any introductions to cats or young kids should be done thoughtfully and carefully, just like with any new dog. The good news is that I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life. I've been neutered, I'm current on all my vaccinations, and I've been microchipped. In other words, all the important stuff is already taken care of. All I need now is a family to call my own. Maybe you're looking for a walking buddy. Maybe you're looking for a dog who will make you smile every day. Maybe you already have another dog who enjoys having a playful companion around. Or maybe you've just been waiting for a scruffy little guy with a big heart and an even bigger desire for friendship. If that's the case, I think we should meet. I can't promise I know exactly what breed I am. I can't promise I'll win any grooming competitions this week. But I can promise that I'm ready for a fresh start, lots of love, and a family that will care for me the way every dog deserves. So what do you say? Want to come meet me? Please e-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment and learn more about adopting me. I can't wait to meet my new best friend. Love, Samsung   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt.
