Some dogs have a way of touching your heart the moment you meet them. Sim is one of those dogs. Originally from South Korea, Sim's story has not always been an easy one. At some point in his past, he became caught in an illegal trap believed to have been set in a suburban area. The injury was so severe that his left front leg could not be saved, and it had to be amputated. Despite everything he endured, Sim never lost his love for people. Today, this handsome German Shepherd is proof that resilience comes with a wagging tail. Sim greets both familiar faces and complete strangers with genuine happiness. Whether you're a man or a woman, he'll happily come over for pets, attention, and affection. He has a gentle, loving personality and one of his favourite comforts is curling up with a cozy blanket after a day of adventures. Don't let his 3 legs fool you-Sim gets around remarkably well. He enjoys his walks, travels comfortably in the car, and doesn't let his disability stop him from living life to the fullest. He is calm and cooperative for baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning, making grooming a breeze. Sim has a wonderful balance of energy. He's active enough to enjoy daily walks and exploring the yard but is equally content relaxing with his family afterward. He walks nicely on leash, is house trained, and continues to do well with his crate training. He's also very food-motivated, which makes training enjoyable, although he'll happily remind you that treats disappear very quickly! Sim gets along well with other dogs but doesn't need a canine companion to be happy. Because Sim is intelligent and athletic, he'll need a secure, fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors. Like many German Shepherds, he can become bored if left without enough mental and physical stimulation, and he may try to escape through an open door or insecure fence if given the opportunity. He also experiences some mild separation anxiety, so he'll thrive with a patient family willing to continue building his confidence and helping him feel safe. Sim isn't looking for perfection-he's simply looking for someone who will see beyond his missing leg and recognize the incredible dog standing in front of them. His past may have been marked by hardship, but his future is waiting to be filled with love, adventure, soft blankets, and a family that will cherish him forever. If you're looking for a loyal companion whose heart is even bigger than his story, Sim is waiting to meet you. He has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is a family to show him that the rest of his life will be filled with kindness, comfort, and unconditional love. Medical Notes: Tripod Good with women: Yes, excellent.
