My story

We acquired China through our cat-boarding work - her previous owner surrendered her to us a couple months ago after moving to an apartment that only allowed one pet. She's about 10–11 years old. We're looking for a calm, loving home where she can settle in for her senior years. We can't keep her ourselves: our budget is already stretched by another cat's heart condition, and while we're working toward a no-kill placement, that's months out and depends on vet costs we're saving up for. A direct adoption would be the best outcome for her. China is quiet, friendly, and gentle - she doesn't claw, bite, or climb where she shouldn't. She loves tummy and chest rubs (she'll hold your hand with her claws politely retracted) and will happily spend all day lounging in any available sunbeam. An easy, affectionate companion who mostly wants somewhere warm to nap.
