My story

Meet Lady Lucy - Smart, Athletic, and Ready to Be Your Best Friend! If you have treats, you've already made a new friend! Meet Lady Lucy, a beautifully unique brindle coloured sweetheart with an athletic spirit, a brilliant mind, and a heart that's just waiting for her forever family. At around three years old, Lucy is the perfect combination of playful adventure buddy and affectionate cuddle companion. Lucy's foster family describes her as one of the smartest dogs they've ever met. She's incredibly eager to learn, highly food motivated, and picks up new skills in no time. Whether you're teaching her a new trick or simply rewarding her for being the amazing girl she is, Lucy is always excited to work alongside her people. One look at Lucy enjoying life outdoors and you'll quickly discover one of her greatest joys-zoomies! She loves stretching her legs in a securely fenced yard, showing off her speed and agility before happily checking back in with her favourite humans. Her recall is excellent, and although she loves to explore, she never wants to be far from the people she loves. Lucy has blossomed beautifully in foster care. Living with her Husky foster brother has helped her gain confidence, improve her social skills, and discover just how much fun it is to play. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely love a confident canine companion to continue showing her the ropes, but she's equally happy being the centre of attention in a home where she'll receive plenty of love and enrichment. When Lucy first meets new people, she can be a little reserved, preferring to take a moment to get to know them. Give her a little patience and a few tasty treats, and before long you'll be rewarded with full-body wiggles, happy smiles, and a loyal companion who adores spending time with her family. Lucy has made wonderful progress since entering foster care. She is comfortable relaxing while her family is away. Her crate remains a cozy place where she happily settles in for a nap whenever she needs some quiet time. She's also gained confidence on her walks. Lucy walks nicely but does get excited when she sees other dogs and has to vocalize a hello. She's continuing to make great progress with positive guidance and is eager to keep learning. With a calm, confident handler, she looks to her person for reassurance and continues to build confidence every day. Lucy would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, or hiking on the quieter paths, and playing in the backyard, or exploring new places together. After an adventure, she's more than happy to curl up beside you and enjoy a relaxing evening at home. Lucy has come so far and is more than ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She's looking for a family who will appreciate her intelligence, celebrate her playful spirit, and continue helping her grow into the incredible companion she's already becoming. If you're searching for a loyal best friend who will keep you smiling, join you on every adventure, and reward your love with unwavering devotion, Lady Lucy is ready to meet you.
