Rocket came into rescue from northern Manitoba, where she had been living with a loving family who, through no fault of their own, were no longer able to care for her and her siblings. She and her sisters spent time both indoors and outdoors, but always slept safely inside, knowing the comfort of a home and human care.Because of this, Rocket has a wonderful foundation - she's familiar with household life and is already comfortable being around people. She is gentle, affectionate, and eager to continue learning what it means to be part of a family. As she settles into new routines, her sweet personality continues to shine through more each day.Rocket is now looking for a forever home where she can once again enjoy the security of sleeping indoors, feeling safe, loved, and truly part of the family. With kindness, consistency, and patience, she will grow into a devoted and loving companion.Foster Comments: Rocket lives up to her name. Always actively sniffing her way around the trails and still reacts to the passing bunny but squirrels are no longer interesting. When at home, she sleeps or chews on her favorite cow hoof. She has learned to wait for an "OK" before eating her food or taking a treat from her paw. Gives left and right paws, knows the sit and down. Rocket is a quick learner with verbal guidance. Rocket is very people oriented and gets along great with my dog, play wrestling all the time. Rocket would make a great agility dog.
