Godiva

My story

We adopted Godiva from the Maricopa County Shelter 3 months ago; 3/19/2026. She was found in Wittmann, AZ on 3/12/202 so we are unsure of her previous history or owners. She has all vaccines, microchipped and spayed. We took her for a wellness visit on 3/20/2026 and they said all is well with her. Last checked, she was about 55lbs. She is a great dog and is house trained. She is kenneled at night and when we are not home. She follows commands; will sit and lay down. Loves her treats. Godiva does not like to be left alone and does require attention. She does great with bigger dogs; loves to play but doesn’t know her size. This is a tough decision but as a busy family with busy schedules, we just don’t have time to give her the attention she needs. My kids really do love her but understand that it’s not fair to her that we cannot give her the attention she needs. She is very playful, rarely barks. She loves outside but will not get in the pool. She loves tug a war.
