My story

Meet Rook 🐾 Rook is a 3-month-old neutered Chihuahua mix with a gentle heart that's still learning the world isn't so scary. Rook found himself on the shelter's urgent list simply because he was overwhelmed and afraid. The shelter environment can be a difficult place for a shy puppy, and while he's safe now, he's still taking things one step at a time. Right now, Rook is learning that people can be kind and that new experiences don't have to be frightening. He's not the puppy who will immediately run up to greet everyone he meets—but that's okay. We believe that with patience, consistency, and a loving home, Rook is going to blossom into a wonderful companion. He's looking for a family willing to let him move at his own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. Watching a shy dog gain confidence is one of the most rewarding experiences, and we think Rook has a bright future ahead of him. Rook is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate veterinary care, and ready to find the family that will help him shine. ❤️🐾
