My story

Meet Chip 🐾At 10 years old and just 10 pounds, Chip is proof that the best things come in small packages. This handsome senior terrier mix recently came to Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society after his family made the difficult decision to help him find a place where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by love and comfort.Chip is a gentle, quiet little guy who is still adjusting to all the recent changes in his life. While he can be a bit timid at first, he shows his sweet nature through cautious kisses, soft tail wags, and leaning in for more pets once he knows you're a friend. He especially loves gentle scratches on the top of his head and appreciates people who take the time to approach him slowly and respectfully.Like many terriers, Chip enjoys exploring the world through his nose. Whether he's sniffing around the yard or investigating a new space, his curious side shines through. When he's finished with his adventures, he's more than happy to curl up beside his favorite person and enjoy a peaceful nap.Chip has previously lived with children over the age of 12 and has shown neutral behavior around other small senior dogs. Since he is settling into a new chapter of life, any introductions to people or pets should be done slowly and thoughtfully to help him build confidence at his own pace. This charming little gentleman is eager for treats, enjoys his meals, and has already proven himself to be a polite houseguest. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you for quiet days, leisurely walks, and plenty of cuddles, Chip may be the perfect match.Chip is ready to spend his golden years being cherished by a family of his very own. Could that family be yours?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
