My story

  Meet Charm — a stunning tortie girl with a strong spirit and a soft side that she’s still learning how to share.Charm is about 2 years old and came into rescue with a litter of kittens. While she was a devoted mom, she was more than ready to retire from motherhood and start focusing on herself. She arrived uncomfortable and overwhelmed with a severe case of ear mites, which understandably left her feeling defensive and grouchy. Now that she’s healthy, spayed, and fully vaccinated, her real personality is beginning to emerge.Charm grew up as an outdoor cat who was cared for by people, but not truly socialized with them. Because of that, she’s still figuring out whether humans are fully safe and trustworthy. She clearly wants affection — she enjoys head rubs and will seek out attention — but only on her own terms. If she becomes nervous, overstimulated, or pressured before she’s ready, she may hiss or swat to ask for space.What Charm needs most is a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust takes time. She is not a “pick me up and cuddle me immediately” kind of cat. She needs someone who will let her set the pace, respect her boundaries, and celebrate the small victories as she continues learning how to feel safe indoors with people.Because she startles easily and can become defensive when stressed, Charm would do best in a calm adult-only home without dogs or children.For the right person, Charm has so much potential. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for kittens (6 months & under)    $150 for cats (older than 6 months)    $100 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
