My story

Hi! This is Duke, he is a 4 year old Sharpei/Beagle mix. I received him as a gift from a friend as a13 week old puppy to keep me company. He is very loving, friendly with other dogs and people, and full of energy. I work from home so am often around the house but he is also fine being left alone in the house when I have to go to the office or travel. He has been boarded in kennels and gets along with other dogs. He is crate trained, likes to play fetch, hide n seek treats, go for walks, and knows basic commands. He did go through a formal collar-based dog training program and responds well. He is very energetic and loves to play so someone that is active and looking for a lovable companion, Duke may be perfect for you! As an older woman, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to control Duke on the leash when he gets excited or give him the exercise he needs due to my back issues so I have no choice but to give him away to a good home. If it was not for that I would keep him.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Duke, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
