Hi! My name is Double Mini. The "Double" is for my extra big heart and the "Mini" is because great things like me come in pint size packages! I'm a beautiful Lynx Point Siamese girl, born in a colony in Peyton, CO in August 2024. My family was taken in by Wild Blue, where it was soon discovered that all of us had serious heart defects. They weren't sure I'd even make it, but I'm a fighter, and now at 1 and half years-old I am their little miracle. I'm playful and smart as a whip. Whatever you're working on I will be right by your side wanting in on the action. I can play by myself from time to time - I love toss toys, small balls, and kick toys full of catnip. I've recently started fetching these items in exchange for treats. I enjoy the occasional wrestle with another gentle cat or chasing a wand toy or laser. I'm as rambunctious and athletic as any young cat, but I get winded quickly and I need my family to be mindful of my heart rate to make sure I don't overdo it. My foster family can teach you how to monitor my respiration rate. When it's bedtime, I love to curl up behind my favorite person's knees and cuddle in for the whole night. I'm too busy to be a lap cat, but I do love to be carried around on your arm like the queen that I am. I tolerate short times alone, but prefer following beside my favorite person or lounging quietly near a gentle kitty friend. Because I love being with my people and am naturally curious, I love exploring outside from the safety of an enclosed catio or a secure cat backpack. My foster family keeps my open backpack next to the door and when I want to go out I tell them by hopping in. Any other outside exposure is unsafe for me and should not even be considered. If I can't safely go out with you, I will settle for a hammock in the window where I can chitter at birds and soak up the sun. Double Mini's VSD/enlarged heart condition requires daily attention. She has morning and evening medications, which she takes like a champ, that need to be given on a consistent schedule. Her feeding schedule is a bit unique also, and she gets nippy when hungry. Mini needs a family where someone either works from home or stays home full time, and has limited travel requirements. A calm home with a reliable schedule is also a must. Mini sees a veterinary cardiologist every 6 months and her family will need to continue this consistent support. Mini is unable to be surgically spayed and instead uses an implant which will need to be replaced every 6 to 12months to control her heat cycle. She cannot receive veterinary dental care, so she is learning to have her teeth brushed to maintain her health. She is great about having her claws trimmed, using vertical and horizontal scratchers and using the litter box. With your consideration, only families without dogs, unfixed male cats, or small children may apply. My foster mom says that I'm truly a one-of-a-kind cat, and the best little friend - worth every extra effort. If you have the ability to put in that extra effort and care, and think I may be your soul cat, please fill out an adoption application and make an appointment with Wild Blue. I'd love to meet you in my foster home to find out if you're my forever human.May 10, 2026, 6:26 pm
