My story

Hi… I’m Ziva. After 13 happy years, my world changed when my human passed away. A kind neighbor took me in, but I’m still searching for a quiet place to truly belong.I’ll be honest—I’m a little nervous around new people at first. I like to take my time, watch, and make sure everything feels safe. But if you’re patient with me, something special happens… I’ll come closer, ask for gentle pets, and soon I’ll be your affectionate shadow.I’ve also upgraded my tastes—I’ve switched from kibble to fresh food, and I’m feeling sleeker and healthier!I do need to be your one and only cat—I’m not comfortable sharing my space, especially after not getting along with the neighbor’s cat. What I really want is a calm home (I'm a declawed, indoor-only kitty, after all), a cozy spot, and a human who understands that love can grow slowly—and deeply.Could that be you?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ziva, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
