My story

Meet Otis — Our Longtimer With a Heart of Gold!Twenty-one days ago, a concerned citizen called our Animal Control Officers after witnessing a “little friendly hound dog” being put out of a car and left behind. Before the officers even arrived, they were told just how sweet he was — and when they met him, they agreed completely.Today, Otis is officially our current long-timer, which means he gets the honor of being our FB profile spotlight pup!About Otis:• 10 months old with the best big floppy ears• Loves playing with other dogs — he’s always ready for playgroup• Matches the energy of his playmates and tries very hard to get it right• Such a good boy that he’s even used as a greeter dog• Walks very close because he wants to be your shadow (yes, he can be a tiny trip hazard — but it’s out of love)• Obsessed with stuffed animals• Already knows sit and shake, and is working on heel• Professional belly-rub-connoisseurBecause he came in as a stray, we do not have information on his compatibility with cats.Meet & Greets:We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children before adopting to ensure a great fit.Remember the 3-3-3 Rule:It typically takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to fully settle into their new life. Give them patience, structure, and love — it’s worth every moment.Ready for a cuddly, dog-loving, human-loving, eager-to-please companion? Then Otis is your boy!Location: 430 Bristol Drive, StatesvilleHours:Mon–Fri: 12–5pmSat: 11am–2pm(First come, first served, in-person adoptions)Adoption Fee: 80(Otis/A316662 — neutered male, 10 months, 38.50 lbs)All adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and UTD on age-appropriate vaccines/preventions. Please follow up with your vet to keep them current.Come meet Otis — our sweet longtimer waiting for his forever!#adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
