My story

Hello! Dakota is a 9 year old terrier mix that is well active beyond her years! She loves hiking, swimming, chasing after balls and especially snuggles! She is an absolute sweetheart and it breaks our heart that we are trying to find her a new forever home. My wife originally adopted Dakota 8 years ago from a rescue shelter. 4 years ago we met and then moved in together a year later. I have an Australian Shepard and for the last three years the dogs have lived great together. She is selective to the dogs she likes. She is a dominate personality and co-exists with submissive dogs well.We welcomed our son a year ago and our daughter is due in another month. She has showed a small amount of food aggression if our son gets too close to her food. With two little ones we feel it is best to find her a better situation.Dakota would do best in a home with no other dogs or little kids. A single person or couple who is active and wants a companion that loves to snuggle would be the best fit!
