My story

Meet Kismet Kismet is a 10-year-old, distinguished gentleman in a sleek slate-gray coat who looks like he walked straight out of a classic movie—if that movie also featured a few perfectly timed head boops and a charmingly cross-eyed gaze.True to his name (it means “meant to be”), Kismet has a way of making people feel like they were always supposed to meet him. His signature move? Gentle, affectionate head butts delivered with expert precision. If you’re sitting down, congratulations—you’ve been selected for love. He’s incredibly sweet, calm, and well past the chaos phase of kittenhood. Think cozy evenings, soft purring, and a loyal companion who just wants to be near his person. His slightly cross-eyed look only adds to his appeal—it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.Kismet is neutered, well-mannered, and ready to settle into a home where he can be adored like the soft, snuggly king he is.Why is he looking for a new home?Through no fault of his own, Kismet’s current tiny human roommate turned out to be allergic. If love alone could fix it, he’d already be staying—but now he’s looking for a new forever family. If you’re searching for a low-key, affectionate, slightly goofy best friend with a heart of gold and a face you’ll never get tired of, Kismet might just be your guy.Come meet him—he’s probably already decided you belong together. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $25.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt KISMET, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
