My story
Meet Shaka šJust a few days ago, she was hours away from being euthanized at a high-kill shelter in Downey. I stepped in and rescued her to give her a chance.Sheās about 15 months old, ~100 lbs, and truly a gentle giant. Sweet, loving, takes treats softly, and has been calm and well-behaved in the home. She slept peacefully through the night and just wants to be near her people.Sheās still young and will need some training (especially on leash), but sheās very smart and eager to learn.I canāt keep her long-termāI saved her to give her a chance, and now Iām trying to find her the right home.
