My story

Meet Shaka šŸ’”Just a few days ago, she was hours away from being euthanized at a high-kill shelter in Downey. I stepped in and rescued her to give her a chance. She’s about 15 months old, ~100 lbs, and truly a gentle giant. Sweet, loving, takes treats softly, and has been calm and well-behaved in the home. She slept peacefully through the night and just wants to be near her people. She’s still young and will need some training (especially on leash), but she’s very smart and eager to learn.I can’t keep her long-term—I saved her to give her a chance, and now I’m trying to find her the right home. Best fit would be someone with large dog experience and space for her.If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please reach out. šŸ™Let’s find Shaka her forever home. šŸ¾šŸ¤

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Shaka, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
