My story

Meet Gigi — Your One-and-Only Cuddle Queen Gigi (previously known as “Egg”) is a stunning calico girl around a year and a half old, with the most beautiful orange-and-black markings and an even more beautiful personality. She was found wandering the streets of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where she bravely survived on her own for about a month after her previous owners decided they no longer wanted her. Today, Gigi is thriving indoors and living her best life as a playful, affectionate, and endlessly charming young cat. Gigi is the definition of a people-loving kitty. She bonds deeply with her person and her favorite activity is grooming her human’s face and hair. She’s the ultimate lap cat, always ready to curl up for cuddles, and at night she’ll happily snuggle right by your face so you’re never alone. Because of her traumatic past, Gigi can still be a little sensitive to sudden movements and needs a patient, gentle adopter who understands that trust takes time. We don't think she was handled properly as a kitten or had playmates in her very important developmental months, and as a result Gigi sometimes has issues with impulse control, giving a gentle nibble or swat to let you know she needs her space. With consistency, kindness, and lots of stimulating playtime, we believe she will become a 100% snuggleable, well adjusted companion. Gigi would do best as the only cat in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention as your one-and-only cuddle girl. Gigi is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV.
