My story

Meet Ruffles 💕 — your resident “happy hippo”! Ruffles is a spunky, affectionate girl who absolutely adores being close to her people—so much so that her favorite place to sleep is right in bed with you. She is crate trained and does wonderfully when kenneled, settling in calmly without any destructive behavior. When left alone, she relaxes well and doesn’t bark excessively. Ruffles has a playful, energetic personality and loves to run, wrestle with her dog friends, and shower you in kisses (be prepared—she will happily climb into your lap to do so!). She’s always up for adventure and would likely make a great hiking or walking buddy. After playtime, she can settle down, though she may need a little help winding down when she’s extra excited. Ruffles is potty trained and understands to go outside. She’s incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs, though her enthusiasm can sometimes get the best of her and she may need guidance respecting other dogs’ boundaries. She’s curious about cats but generally leaves them alone. Ruffles hasn’t been around children yet, but due to her excitable and very kissy nature, she would likely do best in a home with older kidsor dog savvy kiddos. Ruffles walks fairly well on a leash with minor pulling that improves with guidance. She knows “sit” and is eager to continue learning. Her personality truly shines in her quirks—she will practically trample you just to cover you in kisses, and her joyful, goofy energy is guaranteed to make you smile every single day.
