My story

Hey there… I go by Tyson—though some folks here have also called me Jefferson. Honestly, I’ll answer to either, especially if it means I’m going home with you. 💙I’m a 7 (almost 8!) year old Pit Bull Terrier mix with quite the story… I’ve somehow found myself here not once, but twice. I’m really hoping the next time I leave, it’s for good—straight into a forever home where I can finally settle in and stay.I’ve already got the home life basics down—I’m house trained and I’m great with kids! I’m a more laid-back guy who enjoys the simple things: a comfy spot to relax, some love from my people, and just being part of a family.I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about cats since I haven’t had much experience with them here. So if you’ve got feline friends, we’d want to take things slow and make sure we’re a good match.The best part? I’m already neutered and ready to head home today! No waiting—just me, ready to start my new chapter with you.Oh, and I’m kind of a big deal right now—I’m the Pet of the Week! Thanks to the amazing folks at Paws in Lyon County, I’m partially sponsored, which means my adoption fee is only $27.47.I’ve been here before, and I really don’t want to come back again. I’m just looking for someone to give me a real forever home… could that be you? 🐾Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
