George

My story

We rescued George in Sept 2023. He is approx. 5-6 yrs old, he weights 96 lbs. George is a very loving dog. He loves to sleep cuddled up to his person. No aggression with food or treats. George is very protective of his person and his home. We have gone through a lot of extensive training together and he does great on walks, he knows all the basic commands. Sit, stay, down, heel, place, leave it. He was trained using the treat method with an E-Collar. I still have to use the collar whenever we go for a walk, mostly due to his intense prey drive. We live in an area with wild rabbits. George also has separation anxiety. We have gotten to where he can be left along for 4 hrs comfortably. He does not do well in a crate. He needs a home that will treat him as part of the family but also has knowledge to continue his training. He needs someone that will socialize him to other people and dogs, he has the potential to be a great family dog. He doesn't get that anymore with me.
