My story

Rex – ID #17972 – Kennel #600 Arrived April 2nd – Domestic Short Hair Mix – Orange Tabby – Male – Approx. 1.5 years old – 11 lbs – Will be neutered prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – FIV/FeLV negative Meet Rex — a rich and vibrant orange tabby with stunning green eyes and a coat that looks like it was kissed by the sun. This handsome boy arrived at the shelter on April 2nd with no home to call his own, and he has been waiting in Kennel #600 ever since, those gorgeous green eyes watching the door and hoping that today might finally be the day his person walks through it. At just about a year and a half old, Rex is right in that perfect sweet spot — young enough to have endless years of love and companionship ahead of him, yet old enough to be calm, settled, and ready to slide right into the rhythm of a loving home without missing a beat. He is FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on all of his vaccines, and he will be neutered prior to adoption — healthy and completely ready for the fresh start he so deserves. Orange tabby cats have a magic about them that is hard to put into words — warm, vibrant, and absolutely impossible to ignore. Rex is exactly that kind of cat. At 11 pounds he is a solid, beautiful boy with a presence that fills a room, and whoever is lucky enough to bring him home is going to wonder how their life ever felt complete without him. If you have been looking for a gorgeous, healthy, young companion to fill your home with warmth and color, come meet Rex in Kennel #600. He just arrived, and already he deserves so much more than shelter walls — come find this beautiful boy and give him the home he was always meant to have. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt REX, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
