My story

Meet Amber!Amber is a gorgeous little baby with the cutest nub for a tail! She is a female Spaniel/Border Collie mix who weighs around 30 lbs and is estimated to be 11 months old. This happy girl was found as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim her—but she’s ready to find a family who will never let her go.Amber is full of energy and would thrive with an active family, especially one with a fenced-in yard where she can run and play to her heart’s content. She absolutely loves going on walks… even if her leash manners still need some work! With patience and consistency, Amber will benefit greatly from general obedience training to help her grow into the best little companion she can be.As a young puppy, Amber will also need continued exposure and socialization to help her confidently navigate the world around her. She is incredibly friendly, always happy, and eager to engage—but she is also a bit of a barker, so she will do best in a home environment rather than an apartment or townhome. Compatibility with dogs, cats and children is unknown. She does like to chase squirrels and birds in the park. She does well with her canine neighbor in the kennel next to her. As always, a meet and greet with your dog is required. Amber is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means you can welcome her into your home while she completes her vetting at our veterinarian.
