My story

Our Older dog picks on her.Sky is a 1.5 year old mix with VERY high energy.Crate trained when home unsupervised. She is very intelligent and could be easily trained by an experienced, patient person. She is very much a working dog. High energy and can be vocal. She "talks" when excited. She chases other animals like she is herding them but does not act aggressively toward them, just lacks appropriate physical boundaries. She has recently shown signs of resource guarding when given a chew bone or treat, but we strongly suspect this is because our older dog has been bullying her when it comes to treats and chews. She loves swimming and playing in the snow. She is not an apartment dog. She needs room to run and explore. If using a fenced area unsupervised,it needs to be high. She is an athletic dog who can easily jump a four foot fence, but she is not a runner. She comes back when called. Our trainer has recommended she would do great with athletics or scent training.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Skye, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
