My story

This sweet little boy was found outside laying on a tarp a day before we’d get inches of snow with no microchip. He is around 3-4 years old and neutered. LOVES chin and head scratches, making biscuits, laying on your lap any chance he gets! He is super docile due to having HCM. HCM is a heart disease that results in abnormal thickening of the muscle walls. This alters contraction and relaxation of the heart as it pumps blood. He is currently on and needs to continue a weekly medication called Felycin that helps slow the progression/ thickening. He will also need to see a cardiologist every so often to check the progression. Which is no problem because he’s very chill at appointments! AKC pet insurance will help with coverage for visits but there is a 365 day waiting period required before pre- existing conditions (HCM, etc..) become eligible for coverage. So you would want to sign him up ASAP. This is not affecting the quality of his life or his bubbly personality at all, which is
