My story

We are looking to find a new home for our almost 5 year old calico cat, Mia. (DOB:4/23/2021). Mia is generally good with me, my husband and our 2 year old daughter, often showing affection. She is spade, healthy and had all initial shots. We found Mia when she was 2 weeks old abandoned by her mother, therefore she was never socialized with her littermates. This has caused several issues. She does show occasional aggression towards us. She will sometimes lunge at/scratch our legs. The bigger issue seems to be that she is not good with visitors. Anytime people come over we put her in a separate area, as she will hiss/swat at people. We love her so much, but it is becoming impractical to keep her. We are having another baby soon and think it is a bad idea to keep her with 2 small children. We are really hoping to find her a loving home. The ideal candidate would have no children and be patient as we are assuming it will take Mia a little bit of time to acclimate to a new owner

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
