Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I am from a hoarding situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with many people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn.- I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- Once I warm up, I`m described as sweet and easy-going!- Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained!- I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside recommends I have a fenced-in yard since I`m still a little nervous of new environments.- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Woof to meet you! I’m Brody!I’m a 3-year-old black lab who’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary. I came from a hoarding situation, so new people and environments can make me a little nervous at first. Because of that, I’m looking for someone patient and understanding who will let me move at my own pace. I’m also enrolled in Confidence College, where I’m working on building my bravery and learning how to feel more comfortable each day.Once I warm up, though, I’m described as a sweet and easygoing guy who just wants to enjoy life with his people. One of the best ways to bond with me is through walks. I absolutely love getting outside, exploring new places, and taking in all the sights and smells; Adventures are kind of my thing!I also LOVE toys and chews… like I really love them. I’m a strong chewe
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brody, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
