My story

Adopt Garland! Garland is an 8-month-old Chihuahua mix with a HUGE zest for life (and snacks!). This sweet, silly boy lives for: -Other dogs – wrestling, playing, snuggling… he loves it all! -FOOD – extremely food motivated and proud of it -Chewing bones -Shredding stuffies like it’s his full-time job -Cuddling with his canine and human besties Garland would thrive in a home with another playful dog to continue building his confidence. He absolutely adores other pups! Fair warning though — he has no idea how small he is and will boldly try to claim toys, treats, and bones from dogs of any size. Even if corrected, he tends to keep the party going. Confidence level: expert. Self-awareness level: still loading. **Things to Know:** • He’s nervous with new people at first — until he decides you’re approved usually within 24 hours). Because of this, older/dog-savvy kids or an adult only home would likely be best. • Not a big fan of the crate, but he does go in with a high-value reward like a peanut butter Kong. • Like many tiny kings, he hates the cold and may use potty pads in winter, though he understands outdoor pottying. • If you’re eating near him, he assumes you’re sharing. Garland is truly a gem of a dog — affectionate, hilarious, loving, and full of personality.
