Looking for a cat to pair with your art? Cheesecake’s natural grace and preferred recline positions makes him an ideal companion piece to your Modern abstract expressionist art collection. He spends most of his days in statuesque poses, on the softest surfaces he can find, his immaculate white fur spotted with black, an instant classic! This comes to no surprise as he hails from Mother England and still carries the poise and manners of a British gentleman. At 8 years young, he prefers a life of indolence, the playfulness of youth long behind him. Yet, as he gets comfortable with his caretakers, he would lie on his back, baring his belly, paws folded forward, unabashedly asking for pets. He is particularly fond of his head being scratched and produces the most melodious meows to obtain them. When he first arrived, he was fearfully skittish and spent the first week under the bed. But as time goes on, he warmed up to the humans around him and now, even with guests, would be seen prancing around in his black and white coat. Still, his proud old man spirit refuses to be picked up. He needs trickery and bribes to get into his carrier or take his medicine. A suitable caretaker for him should have the patience and experience tending to distrusting cats, who find it rewarding to earn trust more so than instant gratification. Once this trust is earned, he is a soothing companion who comes up to you with bouts of affection and pure joy.
