My story

🐾 Koda Is Looking for His Teammate for Life 🐾 Koda is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with big energy, a loyal heart, and a deep desire to find someone he can truly bond with. Once he trusts you, he becomes the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side — your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your most devoted companion. 💙🐕 Koda didn’t have the easiest start. He was rescued from the euthanasia list after being labeled shy and scared, but since then he’s been working hard to grow, learn, and show the amazing dog he can be. With patience and kindness, his true shepherd personality shines through: loyal, playful, and incredibly connected to his person. Here’s what makes Koda special: 🎾 Loves fetch, toys, and burning off energy in the yard 🐾 Forms a strong bond and happily follows his person everywhere 🧠 Very smart and crate trained (does best with a sturdy enclosed crate) 🦮 Currently working on commands like sit and leave it and improving on leash 🐕 Can do well with female dogs after slow introductions, though he mostly prefers human attention Because the world can still feel overwhelming sometimes, Koda will do best with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. Loud noises, new people, and busy environments can make him nervous at first, but with steady guidance he continues to improve. Koda’s ideal home would include: 🏡 A house with a yard and a tall, secure fence 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adults or kids 12+ who understand an energetic dog 🐕 Someone experienced with shepherds or confident working breeds 💛 A patient person who enjoys training and helping a dog grow Koda is energetic, sensitive, and incredibly loyal.
