My story

Hi, I’m Penny, and after raising five kittens, I’m finally ready for a little happily-ever-after of my own. 🤍 I’m about 1.5 years old and one of the friendliest cats you’ll ever meet. I genuinely love people and have never met a stranger. Visitors, friends, family, new faces... if you're willing to pet me, we're already friends. Before rescue, I lived outside in a large colony of cats under homes in a community. Even then, I was incredibly people-loving, which is ultimately how I ended up safe in foster care while pregnant with my five babies. I was a wonderful mom and took great care of my kittens, but now that they're grown and finding homes of their own, it's finally my turn to be spoiled. Since retiring from motherhood, my foster family has gotten to see a whole new side of me. While I still love naps, cuddles, soft beds, and relaxing near my people, I've also started showing off a playful side that spent a long time taking a backseat to raising babies. Turns out being a cat is pretty fun when you're not busy being a mom 24/7. I have beautiful speckled eyes, soft medium-length fur, and the cutest fluffy tail that's a little shorter than expected, which just adds to my charm. I would thrive in a home where I can be loved, spoiled, and included in daily life. I'm affectionate without being demanding and happy to spend time near my people while still enjoying the occasional quiet nap in a sunny spot. I've done wonderfully with my kitten Leonard and would love to be adopted with him if the right family came along, but it's not required. What matters most is finding the perfect home where I can spend the rest of my life being loved as much as I love everyone else. I'm spayed, fully vetted, vaccinated, and ready to start my next chapter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Penny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
